On July 16th 2020, Indonesia & Tanzania are keen to cooperate further, especially in the economic and tourism sectors as discussed during the submission of the letter of recognition (Exequatur) from the Government of Indonesia to Mr. Jhody Arya Prabawa as the Honorary Consul of the United Republic of Tanzania accredited in Indonesia (16/7).
With the appointment of the Honorary Consul representing Tanzanian Government, Indonesia is optimistic that cooperation and good relations between Indonesia & Tanzania can increase in various key sectors to recover from the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in both countries.
Honorary Consul of Tanzania has a stake in efforts to increase Tanzanian Indonesian economic cooperation and encourage further cooperation between Tanzanians and Indonesian SOEs.
The inauguration of the Honorary Consul was carried out by the Director General for Protocol and Consular Affairs, H.E. Andi Rachmianto (Indonesian Ambassador to Jordan) as the representative of the Indonesian Government and was attended by officials of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Chair of the Association of Indonesian Honorary Consuls (AHCI) conducted at Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office in Jakarta.
